Step-by-Step Installation Guide
1. Prepare the Subfloor
• Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Remove any debris, bumps, or old flooring materials.
• For moisture-prone areas, lay a vapor barrier to prevent water damage.
• If the subfloor is concrete, check for moisture content and level it properly.
2. Install the Underlayment
• Roll out the underlayment across the subfloor, ensuring there are no overlaps.
• CROSSBOND-approved underlayment helps reduce noise and enhances the longevity of the flooring.
• Tape the seams securely to avoid shifting during installation.
3. Utilize 2G Locking System by Valinge
• 2G powered by Valinge technology ensures precise locking, eliminating the need for glue.
• This system simplifies installation with its angle-to-angle locking mechanism making the process faster, secure, and seamless.
4. Start Installing the Planks
•Begin in one corner of the room, placinggroove side against the wall.
• Insert the next plank at an angle and lock it into place with the 2G locking mechanism.
• Use spacers to maintain an 8-10 mm expansion gap along the edges.
5. Complete Row by Row
• Use a staggered layout for stability by cutting the first plank in the second row to half its size.
• Tap gently with a rubber mallet and tapping block to lock the planks seamlessly.
• Repeat row by row until the floor is complete.
6. Trim and Finish
• Trim the last row of planks to fit against the wall using a utility knife or saw.
• Remove spacers and install baseboards or moldings to cover the expansion gap.

Tips for a Perfect Installation
• Allow for Acclimation: Let the planks sit in the room for 48 hours before installation.
• Minimize Water Use: Avoid excess moisture while cleaning to maintain durability.
• Protect the Surface: Place felt pads under furniture to prevent scratches.
